Dont know what to title this !!!!!

Anyone who knows me even moderately well would know i am a sucker for watches especially Swiss ones;
my one attempt at exclusivity i only wear Swiss ones:-) one of my many looney dreams (others being to pluck a blade of grass from Wimbledon, run up and down that big beautiful bridge in France etc) is to wear a Rolex someday.
And guess what it happened yesterday.
A dear friend from times long gone came around to meet me.
Now this guy does not know the first thing about watches but was gifted a diamond encrusted Rolex by his FIL.
I looked at it and went "wooohooo ". He in turn in a very blase kind of a way removed it and offered it to me.
Told me i could wear it for the duration of the time we were to spend together in fact told me i could wear it all the time except that his FIL would ask about it hahaha.
I did wear it and here is the strange part i did not feel anything at all.
It looked good no doubt but did not feel the pulse racing or such like.
What it do however, is doubled my determination. Some day in the future i will have my own and maybe then the pulses will race
Till then Tissot it is !!!!

Irony!!!

Just read about this on the net
They are now going to build the World's tallest tower in Jeddah. Over a 1000 metres tall.
Guess who is buidling it ?

Yep the Saudi Bin Laden group !!!

The group founded by the tycoon who sired our very own Osama Bin Laden :-)
Father's company builds the worlds tallest tower
Son's company brings one of the world's tallest and the most iconic one down

Fact stranger than fiction !!!

Women and Dogs!!

I have never quite understood this in women (of course i know no one has never quite understood them at all)
but this one is particularly intriguing
What is it about dogs that make women go ooooooo choo chwweet everytime they see a stray one
nothing else elicits this kind of a eruption of oohs and aahs. It never ceases to amaze me
Picture this :
Its raining, i am the at signal and at some distance i am able to watch this group of college going girls.
As at all signals folks are swarmed by those less fortunate who make a living by , for want of a better word, begging
They approach this bunch of college women and they without as much as a look turn away and start casting shifty eyes  One of the swarm was carrying a baby covered in a ragged blanket.
The swarm thrust the baby at them but they recoiled .At about the same time a little doggy all wet in rain comes towards them and off they go "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh aaaaaaaaaaah soo cuuuuteeee" one of them was even very worried that it is getting wet and whether they should do something about it.
Never mind there was living, breathing individual pleading for money presumably to buy food.

Child with a toffee!!

Can someone please tell me why does Sunil Gavaskar act like someone who has just found a bagful of toffees everytime he sees Tendulkar!!!
I can alomost imagine him going about Sachin "wow what a knot he has tied lovely Sachin really can tie his shoe laces beautifully "
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Jingoism!!

Was watching the run out incident of Ian Bell yesterday
Dont have anything to comment on the ethical / spirit of the game debate
What got my goat however was the comments made by our esteemed commentators Messrs Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri.
Their idea was Indian team did a great thing by recalling Ian Bell something that almost makes them  worthy of out right sainthood.
Their immediate next concern was "will this action be reciprocated"
The point is did we do this to be able to wrangle a wicket , say Sachin's on some random date in the future citing our largesse today.
To me that sounds a bit silly.
We had our chance and were magnanimous period . To expect other people to do the same is silly.
The premise being that India is always expected to do the right stuff but the others are not.
Shastri also said they do this to us because they are jealous of our heft in the cricketing world.
He is of the opinion that because we are a world champion the rest of the world is against us.
Nobody was against the West Indies when they were World Champions. The Aussis did ruffle a few feathers but that was because they were very good a generally making asses of themselves the same was BCCI is doing now.
Hence the antipathy.
The difference is in the case oif Australia it was the team in India's case it is the board but asses both anyway
Shastriji , people are not jealous of success its the way you act when you are successful that irks people.
No one is jealous of Federer or Nadal or now Djoko are they? Get the drift ??
BCCI is systematically taking cricket to the dogs in its blind venal , pursuit of money and power.

We need not look too far to know this.
Just in this series Sehwag is not playing because he injured his whatever playing for the  Daredevils, Harbhajan looks like a lost kid in a topless bar , the so called new blood failed to fire (Raina, Kohli Murali Vijay et al)  in tests , Zaheer is more out than in and we wonder why the world is against us.
Look at the English team everyone of them is available and performing brilliantly and none of them played the IPL
As a direct consequence what should have been a keenly contested series is not reduced a lame lopsided one in favour of the English.
Rest my case because i need some rest :-)
